Holy Family's Pledge
Holy Family Quasi Parish has been most generous to the Bishop’s Appeal each February and the Our Faith Our Future, Diocese of Dallas Capital Campaign. OFOF is the campaign in celebration of 125 years as the Dallas Diocese. Many who pledged to these two campaigns may still be sending funds to fulfill their pledges. Due to Revenue Service regulations gifts for the 2016 year must be postmarked by the Post Office dated no later than 12/31/2016. A check dated 12/31/2016 and the envelope stamped by the post office (for example) 1/4/2017 will not be eligible for 2016 Tax deductions or posted until 2017. Please make sure to mail prior to December 31, 2016 and have the envelope dated in 2016 to have the funds you have contributed to OFOF posted. You will receive a Tax letter indicating the 2016 figures posted to your account for tax purposes in January 2017. Once again Bless each and everyone who pledged. Remember that once Holy Family reaches it’s $100,000 + pledge we will be able to request 30% of that amount. Funds paid to OFOF exceeding that (Example $25,000) we would receive 70% back on the $25,000. This means your pledge also helps Holy Family.
Youth Group have offered to be responsible for a food drive. Can goods, and boxed food to be
given to an organization that distributes food to the poor and needy of our Diocese and/or our
Community. Must be in by December 11th. One important note is all items must be in date,
therefore please check the expiration date before donating. Bring the boxed and can goods to
feed the hungry, place them in the vestibule boxes. Bless You
It was determined by the parishioners to take families from the Catholic Charities purchase an item needed for the Mother & Dad and 1 item needed and 1 item wanted for each child in a family. The recommended cost would be $30-$35 for each. Each tag on the tree has a family #. We must return the item you purchase by Sunday December 4th with the TAG attached. The tag will identify the family and children of that family. Our Youth Group along with their Leaders Alma and Julio Salas will organize the gifts in bags provided by The Catholic Charities. We received 17 families needs and/or wants, our Christmas will be filled with joy knowing those less fortunate than ourselves will have a Blessed Christmas. “What you do unto the least of My brethren you do unto Me”
At Holy Family, you will find a warm and inviting atmosphere in which to nurture your faith. The moment you walk in the door you will find a community of believers sharing God's message through faith, hope, and love.
