“Let Us Be Imitators of Christ”

Thank you to all who have responded to the mailing from Bishop Farrell. We are still two

weeks away from the in-pew request. If you received the mailing and have not responded,

please take advantage of this time to do so.

In addition to providing for ministries and services throughout the Diocese, the Appeal also

funds services that are of great help to other ministries here in our parish. For example,

Appeal funds support (IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO INSERT SOME OF THE MINISTRIES

IN YOUR PARISH THAT RECEIVE TRAINING OR OTHER FORMS OF SUPPORT

FROM THE DIOCESE– see the list in the manual or on the website).

This year, the theme of the Appeal is: “Let Us Be Imitators of Christ”. We are all

challenged to try to live our lives using the life of Christ as an example. Christ gave us the

path to eternal life. His love for each of us cannot be taken lightly.

As we contemplate His gifts to us, we should also reflect on our gratitude for these gifts.

Your financial support for the work our parish, of our Diocese and of the Church

throughout the world is, in fact, one way to express this gratitude. Please give generously to

the 2012 Bishop’s Annual Appeal.

Our parish goal is $ 8,000.00. With your support, we can reach and exceed this

goal.
